Full Job Description of Travel Agent

  •  Talk to customers to find out where they want to go, what kind of trip they prefer, and any special requests they have.
  •  Find the best deals for the customers by using company-provided systems like Amadeus and other similar tools.
  •  Recommend the best travel routes, accommodations, and activities based on budget, convenience, and availability.
  •  Arrange flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel services while making sure everything is confirmed.
  •  Inform clients about their travel dates, baggage rules, visa or medical requirements, and transportation options.
  •  Create and issue Travel invoices using MS Word for customers.
  •  Maintain a record of queries vs sales using MS Excel and report to the owner daily.
  •  Guide travellers on the necessary documents and approvals needed for their trip.
  •  Collect payments, provide tickets, travel itineraries, hotel vouchers, and other necessary paperwork.
  •  Offer tips on local attractions, customs, currency exchange, and the best ways to explore a destination.
  •  Educate clients about insurance options, customs rules, and how to use credit cards or traveller’s cheques.
  •  Help customers with any inquiries and recommend the best travel options based on their preferences.
  •  Assist customers over the phone, answering their travel-related questions and making bookings.

What are we looking for Travel Agent

  • Ability to convert queries into sales along with strong customer service skills.
  •  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  •  At least 2 years of experience in travel planning both Domestic and International itineraries.
  •  Knowledge of travel regulations, visa requirements, and booking systems.
  •  Knowledge of CRS systems of GDS systems like Amadeus is a must.
  •  MS Excel and Word efficiency.
  •  Critical thinking, quick decision-making, and mathematical literacy is a key to this role.
  •  Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  •  To be up to date with the industry knowledge and latest trends of holiday destinations as well as travel news.
