Responsibilities
Workers in Costa’s tomato operations may perform a variety of key tasks across Crop Work, Picking, and Packing roles, including:
- Caring for tomato plants — leafing, pollinating, twisting, and lowering.
- Harvesting ripe tomatoes carefully to maintain quality standards.
- Working in large glasshouses with warm and humid conditions (up to 30°C).
- Standing or walking for long periods (8–9.5 hours per shift).
- Performing repetitive movements involving hands, wrists, and shoulders.
- Working at heights when required for crop maintenance or picking.
- Packing tomatoes in temperature-controlled facilities (around 12°C).
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas to ensure hygiene and safety.
- Following all safety and food-quality procedures.
- Supporting team members and supervisors in daily production tasks.
Requirements
