Responsibilities
As a Research Assistant in IoT and AI at UDST, your key duties will include:
- Developing, testing, and integrating IoT-based sensor systems to monitor livestock health, behavior, and environmental factors.
- Supporting the creation and deployment of AI-driven predictive models on embedded systems such as ESP32 and Raspberry Pi.
- Monitoring real-time data acquisition, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and synchronization with cloud storage.
- Designing and implementing interactive dashboards for data visualization, notifications, and decision-making support.
- Analyzing historical and real-time datasets using advanced AI and data processing techniques.
- Drafting and publishing high-quality research outputs including journal papers, white papers, and technical documentation.
- Developing software tools and algorithms eligible for patent or copyright protection.
- Collaborating with industry partners and stakeholders to evaluate real-world applications of the IoT-AI systems.
- Participating in farm-based assessments to test system effectiveness in practical environments.
- Ensuring research ethics, data confidentiality, and quality standards are consistently maintained.
Requirements
To qualify for this Research Assistant role at UDST, candidates must have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of IoT systems, sensor integration, and data processing pipelines.
