Responsibilities

As a Room Attendant, you will:

  • Thoroughly clean guest rooms including changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and presentation throughout all guest areas.
  • Restock housekeeping trolleys and ensure supplies are well organized.
  • Follow all safety and cleaning protocols, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Respect guest privacy and security at all times.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs promptly to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet housekeeping and guest satisfaction goals.
  • Uphold Accor’s standards of service, ensuring each guest feels valued and cared for.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a cleaner or room attendant preferred, but not essential.
  • Physically fit and comfortable performing manual cleaning tasks.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Must have reliable transport to and from Lake Tekapo.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
