Job Summary

As a Delivery Driver at The Red Leaf Corporation, you will be responsible for transporting goods, parcels, and products safely and efficiently. This position requires strong communication skills, time management, and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, follow instructions accurately, and provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups. You will represent the company on the road and must ensure that every delivery is completed in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive light trucks, vans, or automobiles to pick up and deliver various items.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Receive and relay delivery information to central dispatch.
  • Keep accurate records of items received, delivered, and pending.
  • Record trip details such as mileage, fuel costs, delivery times, and any incidents.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Report any vehicle issues or delivery delays to dispatch immediately.
  • Load and unload packages weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Follow all local traffic regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver is an asset but not mandatory.
  • License: Valid Class 5/5F/G Licence for small trucks, vans, or 2-axle vehicles.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to handle physically demanding work (lifting up to 23 kg).
    • Flexibility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Must be detail-oriented and responsible in maintaining delivery records.
    • Must own a cellular phone for route communication.
