Responsibilities
- Fabricate mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components and structures
- Perform MIG and TIG welding according to specifications and blueprints
- Cut, grind, and prepare aluminium materials for welding
- Operate and maintain welding machines and equipment
- Inspect welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintain records of work performed and materials used
- Work closely with welders, fabricators, and engineers
- Move, handle, and store finished products as required
- Ensure tools and equipment are kept in safe working condition
Requirements
- Trade Certificate in Welding and/or minimum 3 years of welding experience
- Strong experience in fabricating components, products, or structures
- Thorough understanding of aluminium welding properties and techniques
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in various physical positions
- Ability to supply and maintain own commercial-grade tools
- Own vehicle to travel to worksites with tools
- Valid driver’s licence (manual preferred)
