This four-month student position, starting in May 2026, is ideal for motivated engineering students who want to build real-world skills while contributing to innovative construction projects. Responsibilities
- Coordinate specific scopes of work and construction trades
- Participate in project and site meetings
- Conduct deficiency walks on construction sites
- Input and update project deficiency logs
- Perform quantity takeoffs for materials and work scopes
- Coordinate and communicate with sub-trades
- Create and update project schedules using Suretrak software
- Obtain and track scheduling information from sub-trades
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an engineering-related program
- Strong interest in working in a construction environment
- Prior field construction experience is an asset
- Availability for a 4-month term starting May 2026
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Project Manager
- Willingness to learn and take on challenging work assignments
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction processes and workflows
- Ability to use computer software such as word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Familiarity with drafting software is an asset
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
