Job Responsibilities
As a Production Welder at IMG, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing MIG welding on a variety of metal components according to specifications
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols accurately
- Ensuring all welds meet required quality, safety, and production standards
- Operating workshop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
- Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines and output targets
- Identifying and reporting any quality issues or safety concerns
- Following company health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in MIG welding within a production or workshop environment
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
- Strong understanding of welding quality and safety standards
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop setting
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be currently based in New Zealand and legally eligible to work
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
