Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaner, your main duties will include:
- Emptying bins, containers, and trays and disposing of waste correctly
- Cleaning floors, work areas, and surfaces using industrial equipment
- Operating vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, and polishers safely
- Cleaning ceilings, walls, overhead fixtures, and hard-to-reach areas
- Applying cleaning chemicals and treatments to remove stains and build-up
- Stripping old wax, applying new wax, and polishing floors
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and wet areas thoroughly
- Conducting routine cleaning inspections and keeping records
- Performing deep cleaning and special cleaning projects
- Assisting with event cleaning and end-of-lease cleaning tasks
- Identifying and reporting damages or maintenance issues
- Refilling and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Willingness to work weekends when required
- Valid New Zealand Driver’s License
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Able to travel across Auckland and Waikato
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible work attitude
Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory.
