Job Summary

The Civil Engineer will contribute to a wide range of infrastructure projects including roads, railways, water systems, land development, and building civil works. This role is ideal for a technically competent professional who thrives in multidisciplinary teams and enjoys solving complex challenges in a dynamic work environment.

This full-time position is based in Adelaide and offers the opportunity to work on defence and public infrastructure projects with national impact. The ideal candidate is an Australian citizen with or eligible for Defence security clearance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering designs, technical specifications, calculations, and reports
  • Lead design teams and manage technical, quality, and delivery performance
  • Execute concept through detailed design for civil projects
  • Work with project managers and clients to deliver high-standard outcomes
  • Provide updates and structured technical documentation to stakeholders
  • Review and ensure compliance with design standards and client requirements
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team capability development
  • Assist with bid and tender submissions for new project opportunities

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartered status (CPEng) preferred or the ability to obtain it in an agreed timeframe
  • Experience in civil infrastructure design, particularly defence, transport, or water
  • Familiarity with Australian engineering standards and design guidelines
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Proven experience in multidisciplinary engineering consulting environments
  • Working knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Australian Citizenship (mandatory for defence projects)
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Defence security clearance
