Job Summary
Oaks Port Douglas Resort is currently expanding its housekeeping team and is seeking dedicated, detail-oriented individuals for multiple casual Housekeeper / Cleaner roles. These positions play a key part in maintaining the resort’s reputation for excellence by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas meet the highest cleanliness standards.
Housekeepers are expected to maintain precision and consistency, ensuring every detail contributes to a flawless guest experience. With full training and tools provided, this role is perfect for candidates with a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and pride in delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeper / Cleaner at Oaks Hotels, you will be responsible for:
- Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to the brand’s high standards.
- Making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms thoroughly.
- Maintaining cleanliness in public and back-of-house areas.
- Completing cleaning tasks within assigned timeframes.
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborating with other team members to meet daily cleaning goals.
- Adhering to safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Reporting any maintenance or safety issues immediately.
- Communicating professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Supporting other housekeeping duties as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, candidates should have:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
- Good physical fitness to handle repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).

Pay Rates:
- Monday – Friday: $32.31 per hour
- Saturday: $38.78 per hour
- Sunday: $45.24 per hour
