Key Responsibilities
As a Commissioning Manager, your main duties will include:
- Reporting directly to the Project Manager.
- Leading the implementation and execution of Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Start-Up activities.
- Organizing work by systems and approved start-up sequences.
- Managing and supervising the commissioning team to ensure successful deliverables within the project schedule.
- Maintaining close coordination with the owner’s commissioning and start-up team.
- Leading punch list prioritization, follow-up, and close-out activities.
- Ensuring the availability of necessary commissioning tools, temporary equipment, and facilities.
- Managing, coordinating, and executing preservation activities for the facility.
- Handling external interfaces with subcontractors and vendors during commissioning and start-up activities.
- Leading Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) and Performance Tests (PTs).
- Overseeing the completions management system (CMS) and dossier compilation to ensure proper handover to the routine operations team.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of project experience, with at least 7 years in commissioning leadership roles.
- Proven experience in EPIC projects for oil and gas tank storage facilities or projects with similar scope and complexity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline commissioning teams.
- Solid background in pre-commissioning, commissioning of tank farms, and control systems integration is preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
