Job Responsibilities

As a Construction Project Manager at PMSI, you will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of complex construction projects. Key duties include:

  • Overseeing comprehensive project execution and delivery from start to finish.
  • Planning, organizing, and staffing key field positions through coordination with department heads.
  • Administering all aspects of the Prime Contract, including procurement, subcontract management, scheduling, and closeout.
  • Developing and implementing project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Managing document control systems — including material submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Monitoring construction progress to maintain budget, schedule, and quality control.
  • Identifying risks, analyzing potential impacts, and developing corrective measures promptly.
  • Managing project financials including invoices, payments, and modifications while maintaining a strong client relationship.
  • Ensuring optimal productivity of subcontractors, efficient material use, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction project management.
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects valued at $30+ million each.
  • Experience working with Federal Government or large institutional clients preferred.
  • Ability to relocate to domestic or international project sites as required.
  • Strong understanding of corporate construction practices, standards, and regulations.
  • Valid professional certifications such as PE, EIT, or PMP are advantageous.
