Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport products to and from assigned locations throughout the year
- Work closely with dispatch to transport hazmat and non-hazmat materials
- Assist with operational tasks to support customer needs
- Report any maintenance concerns or vehicle issues to dispatch immediately
- Drive 10–12 hours per day (approximately 50 hours per week)
- Actively participate in the company’s safety program and mandatory safety meetings
- Follow all company policies, road regulations, and PPE requirements
- Ensure safe driving practices in various environments and weather conditions
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Previous experience handling chemicals and operating liquid tanker trucks
- Ability to qualify for a Passport and TWIC card (financial assistance provided)
- Willingness to relocate to Auburn, ME (relocation assistance available)
- Ability to work weekdays and occasional weekends when required
- Strong safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Must pass Savage’s road test, including full pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Stable work history with a full 10-year employment record
