Responsibilities

As a Farm Hand with Lawson Grains, you will contribute to daily farm operations, including:

  • Supporting the Operations Manager in broadacre cropping activities.
  • Operating and maintaining large-scale farming machinery and equipment.
  • Assisting with seeding, spraying, harvesting, and other seasonal tasks.
  • Using modern ag-tech systems and digital tools for farming operations.
  • Monitoring crop health and performing general farm maintenance.
  • Following safety procedures and maintaining accurate record keeping.
  • Handling chemicals safely in line with WHS standards.
  • Working collaboratively with managers, team members, and suppliers.
  • Showing initiative by completing tasks without constant supervision.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in broadacre grain cropping.
  • Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery confidently.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and safe application.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in WHS and record keeping.
  • Good communication skills with supervisors, team, and contractors.
  • Leadership mindset with a practical, task-focused approach.
  • Willingness to work as part of a high-performing, safety-focused team.
