Responsibilities
As a Farm Hand with Lawson Grains, you will contribute to daily farm operations, including:
- Supporting the Operations Manager in broadacre cropping activities.
- Operating and maintaining large-scale farming machinery and equipment.
- Assisting with seeding, spraying, harvesting, and other seasonal tasks.
- Using modern ag-tech systems and digital tools for farming operations.
- Monitoring crop health and performing general farm maintenance.
- Following safety procedures and maintaining accurate record keeping.
- Handling chemicals safely in line with WHS standards.
- Working collaboratively with managers, team members, and suppliers.
- Showing initiative by completing tasks without constant supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in broadacre grain cropping.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery confidently.
- Knowledge of chemical handling and safe application.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in WHS and record keeping.
- Good communication skills with supervisors, team, and contractors.
- Leadership mindset with a practical, task-focused approach.
