Key Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests
- Deliver exceptional food and beverage service across restaurant and event settings
- Recommend menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience
- Upsell food and beverage offerings in a guest-focused manner
- Handle guest challenges positively and professionally
- Maintain high standards of presentation in service and dining areas
- Set up and pack down service areas with care and attention to detail
- Build strong product knowledge by proactively sourcing information
- Communicate confidently with guests and team members
Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of relevant hospitality experience or
- NZQF Level 4 qualification
- Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Valid RSA or equivalent qualification for the relevant location
- Legally eligible to work in New Zealand
- Availability to work 30 to 48 hours per week
Skills and Experience
- Proven customer service experience in the hospitality industry
- Strong food and beverage service knowledge
- Experience with table service, beverages, events, and coffee making (highly valued)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
