Responsibilities
- Perform lawn mowing, edging, weed eating, and weed spray application
- Carry out pruning and trimming of trees, hedges, and shrubs
- Remove rubbish and green waste from work sites
- Plant and propagate trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and bulbs
- Maintain gardens through watering, fertilising, trimming, and weeding
- Prepare garden beds and improve soil for planting
- Establish lawns by sowing grass seed or laying instant turf
- Plan garden layouts and assist with landscaping projects
- Inspect trees for health issues and remove dangerous branches
- Spray and treat plants for pest and disease control
- Construct paved and gravel landscape features
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment to work locations
- Communicate with customers and provide work updates
- Prepare quotes and report daily progress as required
Requirements
- Minimum one year of proven experience in a similar role (mandatory)
- Certificate or Diploma qualification if experience requirements are not met
- Current Class 1 driver’s licence (NZ or equivalent overseas preferred)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Flexibility to meet work demands and schedules
