Full Job Description
Provide reliable and secure driving services by:- driving office vehicles for the transport of the Head of the WHO Country Office, authorized personnel, including for field visits, and the delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items;- meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport and facilitating immigration and customs formalities, as required;- checking for availability of all the required documents/supplies for the assigned vehicle, including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts;- completing the monthly vehicle data form at the end of the month.
Manage day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, oil changes, checking types and brakes, car washing, and making arrangements for major repairs.
Report any incidents/ accidents as per the steps outlined in the rules and regulations.
Provide clerical and general office assistance to office staff e.g. diplomatic pouches and visa applications, renewals/extensions.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of local traffic regulations and topography of the country.
- Proficient in protocol and organizational security standards for drivers.
- Proven mechanical knowledge and skills in operating and maintaining different types of vehicles.
- Proven ability to interact positively and tactfully with diverse clients.
- Ability to write concise official reports of incidents, read and understand instructions in the working language.
