DIME International Mechanical Engineering is currently hiring an experienced Painting Job in Qatar QC Inspector for major QatarEnergy (QE) and QatarEnergy LNG (QEL) projects in Qatar. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for professionals with strong experience in Oil & Gas and Energy projects, particularly in structural and piping coating works. Job Overview
The Painting QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all painting and coating activities comply with QatarEnergy specifications, approved procedures, and international standards. The role involves inspection of structural steel and piping coatings, monitoring surface preparation, application, and final coating quality.
The position is site-based and workshop-base, supporting multiple ongoing projects under QatarEnergy and QEL.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect surface preparation, painting, and coating activities as per approved procedures
- Ensure compliance with QatarEnergy project specifications and coating standards
- Verify structural and piping coating works executed in workshops and at site
- Monitor coating thickness, surface cleanliness, and environmental conditions
- Review method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality records
- Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and client inspectors
- Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implement
- Prepare inspection reports, daily logs, and quality documentation
- Ensure all coating works meet project, safety, and quality requirements
Project Exposure
The selected candidate will be involved in the following QatarEnergy and LNG projects:
- EPIC Project for Replacement of Desalinated Water Network at RLC
- North Field South Project – Onshore LNG Facilities
- EPC Project for Upgradation of Fire Fighting System in RLTO Tank Farm & Jetty Area
These projects are part of Qatar’s strategic energy infrastructure and LNG expansion.
Coating Standards Knowledge
The Painting QC Inspector must be well-versed in QatarEnergy specifications, including but not limited to:
- QP-SPC-L-002
- Schedule 9 (Sheet 59 of 88)
Strong understanding of coating systems, inspection techniques, and documentation is essential.
Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, counted after obtaining an approved inspector certification
- Recognized Painting Inspector Certification such as BGAS Grade 2 or equivalent
- Proven experience working in the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience in structural and piping coating works, especially in workshops
- Previous QatarEnergy Painting Inspector approval is a strong advantage
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple project teams
