Responsibilities
- Walk through poultry sheds to monitor birds and farm conditions
- Collect, grade, and pack eggs
- Clean sheds and maintain hygiene standards
- Perform a variety of physical farm tasks as required
- Follow strict biosecurity and animal welfare procedures
- Use shower-on and shower-off facilities as required
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
- Follow instructions and safety guidelines at all times
Requirements
- Ability to meet strict biosecurity requirements
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual work
- Reliable, self-motivated, and hardworking
- Willingness to work weekends and flexible days
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transport
- Good understanding of spoken and written English
- Comfortable working in a poultry environment that may be dusty, noisy, and smelly
- Must not keep pet birds, poultry, pigs, or live with others who work at poultry or pig farms
