Job Responsibilities

As a Project Manager at Engender Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing complex projects across research, engineering, and production functions. Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Implementing and maintaining project management best practices across the organisation.
  2. Planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects in line with scope, budget, and timeline.
  3. Leading multi-disciplinary teams across science, engineering, software, and quality control.
  4. Acting as the primary communication bridge between teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
  5. Preparing project documentation, meeting notes, agendas, and progress reports.
  6. Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies proactively.
  7. Managing resources, dependencies, and budgets to ensure smooth project delivery.
  8. Collaborating with Product and Quality Managers to align projects with business objectives.
  9. Facilitating continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned.
  10. Supporting change management and process optimization initiatives.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced qualification such as an MBA, Master’s in Project Management, or PMP/PRINCE2 certification (preferred).
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects—preferably in biotech, agriculture, or R&D sectors.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency with project tools such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
