Responsibilities
The Research Fellow (Cellular Agriculture) will be responsible for:
- Conducting experiments focused on the synthesis and characterization of peptide bacterial binders and antimicrobial peptides.
- Supporting surface assembly processes of lead peptides for antimicrobial and biosensing applications.
- Assisting in the development of antimicrobial assays and electrochemical studies in collaboration with research partners.
- Collecting and preparing data, information, and proposals required for relevant research grant processes.
- Interpreting experimental data and applying analytical methods to monitor project progress.
- Gathering research data and preparing technical reports, scientific manuscripts, and presentation materials.
- Training and coaching new research staff or students in laboratory and technical skills.
- Collaborating remotely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and being available for travel to Israel for advanced training as required.
Requirements
To qualify for the Research Fellow (Cellular Agriculture) position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Ph.D. degree in Peptide Chemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related field.
- Proven expertise in peptide design, synthesis, and characterization of antimicrobial peptides.
- Strong laboratory and experimental skills, especially in antimicrobial testing and bioselectivity profiling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational abilities with a commitment to research excellence and meeting project deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and remotely report to the PI.
- Willingness to participate in team activities, including mentoring and training new laboratory members.
