About the Role
As a Casual Storeperson, you’ll be working in a busy warehouse environment where teamwork and precision are essential. Your main responsibilities will include picking and processing fresh produce orders, ensuring they are ready for dispatch to customers and stores across New Zealand.
This position suits someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and thrives in a team setting. Every day is different — you’ll handle various types of produce, operate warehouse equipment, and help keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, process, and dispatch fresh produce orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and maintain cleanliness in the workspace.
- Support inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure produce freshness.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory control and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and dispatch targets.
- Load and unload delivery trucks when required.
- Report damaged or missing items immediately.
- Maintain a positive, can-do attitude in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment (preferred).
- Forklift driving experience and a valid OSH certificate (preferred).
- A current and valid New Zealand driver’s licence (minimum restricted).
- Basic computer skills — experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Good physical fitness, able to lift up to 25kg comfortably.
- Proof of eligibility to work in New Zealand (no visa sponsorship available).
- Ability to pass a drug test and security check prior to employment.
