Key Responsibilities
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Perform Carbon Arc Air Gouging
- Conduct Plasma & Oxy Fuel Cutting
- Execute Flux Core Welding (1/16” & 3/32)
- Perform MCAW Welding (1/16”)
- Execute SMAW Welding
- Perform MIG Welding (0.035)
- Use line boring tools and techniques
- Carry out fitting and fabrication tasks
- Perform heavy equipment rebuilds (buckets, haul trucks, etc.)
- Operate overhead cranes safely
- Demonstrate strong English communication skills (speaking & writing)
- Determine weldability of materials
- Operate pre-set welding machines to fabricate or repair metal components
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements
- Experience with multiple welding processes (SMAW, MIG, FCAW, MCAW)
- Ability to read and interpret technical welding specifications
- Line boring experience
- Experience in fabrication and heavy equipment rebuilds
- Overhead crane operating experience
- Ability to assess weldability of different materials
- Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail
- Proficiency in both English and French
