Responsibilities
- Perform all welding work safely in compliance with company HSE policies and procedures
- Carry out carbide dressing, hard banding, hard facing, saw welding, and general fabrication
- Set up and run RT and UT quality vessel welding processes
- Perform GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding operations
- Set up and execute RT quality pipe welds in all positions (6G)
- Set up and execute UT quality nozzle welds in all positions (6G)
- Perform carbon arc gouging operations
- Conduct UT and RT weld repairs as required
- Clean, stamp, and inspect all completed welds
- Perform structural non-code welding tasks
- Operate and maintain all welding equipment
- Read and interpret drawings, WPSs, and PQRs
- Lead others when required and plan work activities efficiently
- Apply knowledge of PT, MT, UT, and RT inspection methods
- Maintain high productivity and speed while ensuring quality
- Achieve and maintain weld repair rates below 0.5%
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant welding experience
- Possession of all required licenses, certificates, and registrations to perform welding duties
- Valid driver’s license
- Successful completion of background screening and driving record review
- Medical clearance including physical exam, drug screening, and fitness-for-duty assessment
- Ability to work in field and office environments, including remote and hazardous conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in adverse weather, confined spaces, heights, and noisy environments
Skills
- Proficiency in GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes
- Strong understanding of UT, RT, PT, and MT inspection methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding procedures
- Skilled in operating welding-specific hand and power tools
- High attention to detail with strong quality control awareness
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
