Responsibilities
As a Poultry Farm Worker at Darwalla Group, you’ll be part of a dedicated farm team performing a range of essential poultry care and maintenance tasks, including:
- Collecting, grading, and packing eggs efficiently and safely
- Walking through sheds to monitor bird health and welfare
- Cleaning sheds and maintaining hygiene standards
- Assisting with general farm duties and animal husbandry tasks
- Following strict bio-security and hygiene procedures (shower-on/shower-off system)
- Wearing company-provided uniforms and safety gear
- Reporting any health or maintenance issues to supervisors
- Supporting the team to meet production targets and maintain quality standards
Requirements
Applicants don’t need prior experience — full on-the-job training is provided. However, candidates must:
- Be physically fit and capable of manual work
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to reliable transport
- Meet bio-security requirements (cannot keep poultry, pigs, or birds at home)
- Be willing to work in rural locations between Warwick, Toowoomba, Killarney, or Laidley
- Have a good understanding of English, both spoken and written
- Be flexible to work across 7 days per week (hours can vary)
