Job Summary
As a Welder at Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas, you will play a vital role in maintaining the hotel’s infrastructure and facilities. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility. You will work as part of the Engineering team, performing welding and metal fabrication tasks to support hotel maintenance and repair needs. Flexibility and professionalism are key, as the job may involve assisting in various other engineering duties or responding to guest requests when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of welding and metal fabrication tasks throughout the hotel facilities.
- Assist in repairing, maintaining, and fabricating metal structures, fixtures, and equipment.
- Ensure high-quality welding standards and precision in every task performed.
- Work collaboratively with the Engineering Team to support daily maintenance and operational needs.
- Respond to guest and management requests related to maintenance or urgent repairs.
- Ensure that all welding and maintenance work complies with health, safety, and hotel standards.
- Inspect tools and equipment before and after use to ensure safety and readiness.
- Report any damages, potential hazards, or required repairs to the Engineering Supervisor.
- Assist in other technical or mechanical duties as directed by management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop and work areas.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Relevant qualification or certification in welding.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, tools, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work across shifts and respond to urgent requests.
- Must currently reside in Doha, Qatar and be able to transfer sponsorship.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Physical stamina and attention to detail.
