Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport products to and from assigned locations throughout the year
  • Work closely with dispatch to transport hazmat and non-hazmat materials
  • Assist with operational tasks to support customer needs
  • Report any maintenance concerns or vehicle issues to dispatch immediately
  • Drive 10–12 hours per day (approximately 50 hours per week)
  • Actively participate in the company’s safety program and mandatory safety meetings
  • Follow all company policies, road regulations, and PPE requirements
  • Ensure safe driving practices in various environments and weather conditions

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Previous experience handling chemicals and operating liquid tanker trucks
  • Ability to qualify for a Passport and TWIC card (financial assistance provided)
  • Willingness to relocate to Auburn, ME (relocation assistance available)
  • Ability to work weekdays and occasional weekends when required
  • Strong safety awareness and understanding of safe work practices
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
  • Must pass Savage’s road test, including full pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Stable work history with a full 10-year employment record
