Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties
You will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to:
- Collection and disposal of rubbish and replacement of bin liners
- Dusting, damp wiping, sanitising, and polishing sills, ledges, fixtures, fittings, and furniture
- Vacuuming carpets, furniture, edges, and corners
- Hard floor care including dust mopping, wet mopping, and squeegee drying
- Spot cleaning and blade cleaning of internal and external glass
- High dusting of ceiling edges, air conditioning units, fan blades, light fittings, and beams
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, toilets, urinals, basins, and floors
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchens, benches, sinks, cupboards, appliances, and floors
- Maintaining cleaning cupboards and equipment
- Cleaning stairwells, walls, stairs, and handrails
- Cleaning and sanitising lifts where applicable
- Cleaning and polishing stainless steel surfaces
- Machine scrubbing, stripping, polishing, buffing, and burnishing
- Steam cleaning carpets, mats, and furnishings
- Stain and mark removal from carpets, floors, walls, and surfaces
- Correct use of colour-coded cleaning equipment
- Safe handling and disposal of chemicals in line with the Environmental Act 1991
Health and Safety
- Comply with Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992
- Correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety signage
- Identify, prevent, and report hazards at all times
General Duties
- Perform additional cleaning tasks as directed
- Stay updated with company practices and policies
- Participate in required training sessions
