Job Summary – Pipe Welder Role
As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems used in industrial operations. These systems include steam lines, hot water and heating systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, sprinkler systems, and other industrial processing equipment.
You will work with technical drawings, blueprints, and system plans to ensure accurate installation and assembly. The role requires strong attention to detail, physical strength, and the ability to understand how 2D drawings translate into 3D piping systems. This is a hands-on role that requires working in industrial environments, sometimes at heights or in tight spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay out and fabricate piping systems based on blueprints and technical drawings
- Assemble and install piping fixtures and equipment
- Maintain and repair industrial piping systems
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Measure and cut materials with high precision
- Compare shapes, sizes, and alignments of piping components
- Coordinate hand-eye movements for welding accuracy
- Work with tools using hands, arms, and fingers efficiently
- Climb ladders and work on scaffolding safely
- Maintain balance and stability while working at heights
- Lift and carry materials up to 100 pounds
- Follow oral and written instructions from supervisors

Required Qualifications and Skills
