Responsibilities
As a Gardener, your main duties may include:
- Performing general landscape maintenance using hand-held tools and equipment
- Raking and maintaining sand bunkers on the golf course
- Operating small machines for trimming, edging, and mowing grass
- Preparing soil beds for seeds, sod, and other plant materials
- Removing weeds and debris to maintain a clean course environment
- Assisting with golf course setup procedures for daily play
- Supporting fertilizer applications on tees, fairways, and rough areas
- Operating utility vehicles to transport materials and remove debris
- Mowing greens, collars, tees, and fairways using walking or riding equipment
- Performing skilled gardening tasks such as pruning and plugging
- Operating equipment such as sod cutters, trenchers, and tampers when needed
- Following all safety procedures while working around machinery and other team members
Requirements
- Previous golf course maintenance experience is required
- Ability to communicate in basic English
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Physical capability to perform manual work and operate equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds
