Responsibilities
The Delivery Driver will be responsible for performing daily transportation duties, including:
- Delivering and picking up parcels, messages, and other items by hand.
- Operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks for deliveries.
- Loading and unloading goods safely.
- Following directions and reading maps.
- Using maps and trip-planning tools to determine the best routes.
- Recording trip information such as mileage, fuel costs, and any issues.
- Paying and receiving payments for goods when required.
- Providing excellent customer service during each delivery.
- Conducting pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained and reporting any problems immediately.
