Key Responsibilities
As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will be responsible for:
- Greeting and seating guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Providing detailed information about menu items and beverage options.
- Managing table service, resetting tables, and maintaining restaurant cleanliness.
- Ensuring food and beverage presentation meets hotel standards.
- Assisting with inventory management and restocking supplies.
- Supporting the setup, service, and cleanup of events and conferences.
- Handling payments through Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Collaborating closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Delivering exceptional guest service and resolving minor issues promptly.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar food and beverage or waiter role.
- Qualification at NZ Register Level 2 or 3, or equivalent international standard.
- Proficiency in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- A professional attitude and commitment to maintaining high presentation standards.
- Legal working rights in New Zealand (Citizen, Resident Visa, Open Work Visa, or AEWV).
