Job Overview

This role is based at Virginia, QLD (4014) on Day Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM).
You will work on the Assorted Pack Line, an advanced automated packaging line supported by 48 robots, case packers, and flow wrappers, handling popular Arnott’s products such as Family, Creams, and Cheeseboard assortments.

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining packaging machinery to ensure the smooth flow of production while meeting strict OH&S, quality, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and perform changeovers on machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues during production.
  • Conduct real-time quality control checks.
  • Maintain compliance with OH&S, GMP, HACCP, and internal quality standards.
  • Perform cleaning duties in designated areas to meet hygiene and audit requirements.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to meet daily production targets.
  • Support continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machine-related issues.
  • Basic understanding of safety, quality, and teamwork in a production environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with automated robotics is an advantage, but training is available for strong machine operators.
  • Must be able to undergo full medical and mechanical aptitude testing if required.
