Responsibilities
As a Welder at Yanwelding Engineering Ltd, your main duties will include:
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication
- Cut marked metal sections using hand tools and cutting machines
- Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using tools and heat methods
- Align parts accurately before joining
- Join metal sections using welding, bolting, and riveting techniques
- Inspect welds for quality, precision, and strength
- Clean, polish, and finish completed metal products
- Smooth welds by grinding, filing, and chiselling
- Follow all health and safety standards on site
- Maintain tools and ensure equipment is used properly
Requirements
To qualify for this welder job in Auckland, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of welding or fabrication experience
- Must have own reliable transport
- Available to work weekend shifts when required
