Responsibilities
As a Welder/Fabricator, your key duties will include:
- Perform high-quality GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding on carbon steel and stainless steel
- Fabricate components based on technical drawings and blueprints
- Interpret work instructions and welding procedures accurately
- Maintain and inspect welding equipment regularly
- Ensure all finished products meet strict quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with machining and operations teams to meet deadlines
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and regulations
- Conduct quality checks and report any defects or issues
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Contribute to continuous improvement of fabrication processes
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates should have:
- Minimum 5 years of welding and fabrication experience
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Valid trade qualification in welding or fabrication (preferred)
- Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication techniques
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- Ability to pass a welding test during recruitment
