Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality welding work using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), Flux-core, and/or SMAW (Stick) techniques.
  • Interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to determine required consumables and settings.
  • Ensure all welds meet specified quality standards and inspection criteria.
  • Operate and maintain welding machines, hand tools, and power tools efficiently and safely.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble fabricated parts accurately according to drawings.
  • Conduct visual checks and ensure welds are structurally sound and defect-free.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, boilermakers, and other welders in the workshop.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, following all safety protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement processes and workshop productivity goals.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or material issues promptly to supervisors.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welder) or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven ability to pass a Welder Qualification Test.
  • At least 2–3 years of professional experience in MIG, TIG, or Flux-core welding.
  • Experience working with stainless steel (an advantage).
  • Solid knowledge of WPS interpretation and welding techniques.
  • Skilled in operating fabrication and measurement tools.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Forklift, Dogman (DG), or High-Risk Work Licenses will be considered an advantage.
