Responsibilities
As a Welder at DYC Properties, your main duties will include:
- Interpret welding process specifications and project instructions
- Operate manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals
- Examine welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications
- Operate flame-cutting equipment safely and effectively
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components
- Determine the weldability of different materials
- Fabricate and repair metal parts using pre-set welding machines
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment to bond or fill metal parts
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on welding equipment
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
- 1 to less than 2 years of welding experience
- Valid Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
- Ability to work evening or shift schedules
- Willingness to work in outdoor, dusty, noisy, or confined environments
