Responsibilities
As a Welder at Alcom LLC, your key duties will include:
- Measuring, cutting, and welding aluminum materials to build trailer frames and bases
- Reading and following blueprints and work orders accurately
- Welding different trailer components including bases and cages
- Performing tasks such as tacking, clamping, and welding with correct bead size
- Obtaining raw materials from material handlers
- Grinding or smoothing rough edges using handheld power grinders
- Inspecting weld quality to ensure structural integrity
- Reporting mechanical issues or material defects to supervisors
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
- Following safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality production standards
