Responsibilities
As a Welder at Machitech, your main duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting welding blueprints and technical instructions
- Checking dimensions and verifying the conformity of parts before welding
- Cleaning and polishing materials before welding when necessary
- Planning the correct sequence for assembling parts
- Adjusting and securing metal structures using bolts, clamps, or spot welding
- Selecting and setting up appropriate welding equipment
- Performing welding tasks and finishing welds by brushing, grinding, or polishing
- Inspecting weld penetration and quality and correcting defects if required
- Following occupational health and safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Performing other related fabrication and production tasks as needed
Requirements
- Training or practical experience in MIG steel welding
- Experience working in an industrial environment (preferred)
- Ability to perform welding in all positions
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
- Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
