Responsibilities
As an Online English Teacher, your main duties will include:
- Delivering 50-minute online English lessons
- Teaching small groups of 1–5 students
- Following provided lesson plans
- Creating an engaging and positive virtual classroom environment
- Supporting students in developing English communication skills
- Maintaining punctual attendance for scheduled classes
- Committing to at least one full semester (6 months)
- Communicating with support staff when necessary
- Ensuring reliable internet and technical setup before classes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Preference for Language or Education degrees)
- TEFL certification (mandatory to teach online)
- TESOL / TESL certification (preferred)
- At least 1 year of online teaching experience (preferred)
- Experience teaching ESOL or young learners (preferred)
- Availability during Evening Beijing Time (5 pm – 11 pm BJT)
- Reliable desktop or laptop computer
- Stable wired internet connection (preferred)
- Commitment to teach for a minimum of 6 months
