Responsibilities
Drivers working with Novex will handle delivery tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering packages safely and efficiently to customers and businesses
- Managing delivery schedules and routes across the Lower Mainland
- Operating and maintaining a personal delivery vehicle
- Ensuring packages are delivered on time and in good condition
- Using digital dispatch tools to track deliveries and capture signatures
- Communicating with dispatchers regarding delivery updates or issues
- Providing excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries
- Following all road safety regulations and company policies
- Maintaining accurate delivery records using electronic devices
- Managing vehicle upkeep and ensuring proper insurance coverage
Requirements
Candidates interested in becoming a driver with Novex should meet the following requirements:
- A 2012 or newer vehicle (hybrids or small cargo vans preferred)
- Valid British Columbia driver’s license
- ICBC Class 13 (Delivery Use) insurance with a minimum of $5,000,000 third-party liability
- WorkSafe BC Personal Optional Protection
- Ability to pass a Canadian Criminal Record Check before starting work
- Strong knowledge of the Lower Mainland road network
- Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment
