Responsibilities
As a Delivery Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver items
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Transport and handle dangerous goods as required
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Record trip details such as mileage, fuel costs, and any vehicle issues
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Oversee general vehicle condition and report maintenance concerns
- Meet tight delivery schedules in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Valid Class 5 / 5F / G Driver’s Licence
- Clean driving record (abstract required)
- Authorization to work in Canada
- Ability to handle physically demanding work
- Willingness to work on the road and meet deadlines
- Training will be provided
