Responsibilities
As a Van Driver, your key duties will include:
- Safely operate company vans for daily delivery and collection tasks
- Pick up mail from street posting boxes, offices, and delivery centers
- Collect parcels and mail items from customers
- Load and unload mail and parcel items from the vehicle
- Sort letters and parcels into appropriate categories
- Perform daily vehicle safety checks before starting work
- Follow delivery routes and schedules efficiently
- Maintain accurate handling of mail and parcels
- Work independently while supporting team operations
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational guidelines
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:
- A full or probationary Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to pass a driving assessment test
- Physical ability to lift up to 16 kg regularly
- Must meet the safe working load requirement (130 kg or less)
